Death and all his friends - part 1

I am feeling really alone and frustrated right now. The exams are upon me again and I do not feel like studying, again. I have to appear for a dead-end interview day after. People who were once very close find me irritating now. I mean I haven't felt so down in the dumps since I nearly flunked that geography paper in third grade.
But then something is wrong with the whole world. Nargis has devastated Myanmar beyond imagination. More people are dying due to hunger and disease than those directly killed by the cyclone. The junta is not allowing foreign aid workers into the country. The foreign aid thats reaching Myanmar is not being delivered to the affected people. Whats worse is that a second cyclone, albeit weaker, is approaching Myanmar.
The massive earthquake thats hit Sichuan and neighboring regions of China is another catastrophic natural blow. The 7.8 monster has reduced skyscrapers to rubble mingled with human flesh. 20000 human lives is a huge loss and yet china is trying to oppose foreign aid, which it calls intervention, I really wonder why! No doubt that this would derail the Beijing games a bit but China's resilience is well known and it should be able to get things on track very soon.
Twelve serial blasts rocked Jaipur yesterday evening killing scores and injuring close to 200 people. The attack bore stark resemblance to the Mumbai, Malegaon and other blasts that rocked the nation. A Bangladeshi outfit is reportedly responsible for the blasts.
So everything is not fine after all. Its not just me who is feeling alone and frustrated. Guess I am not alone after all..

Back to the Blogosphere

Hey folks! After a two year hiatus, I have returned to the blogging world. Well I am here mainly because there is nothing much happening in my life right now and I have got way too much time on my hands. The CAT came and whizzed past without taking much notice of me, the last semester of Engineering (the most boring ever) is about to end and my future employers would have sacked another hundred people before you can say "Pink Slip". So I am thinking I will just let out this collective frustration here. I am pretty sure I am not the only one sailing in this boat..
